how do u check an infant for worms?

i have heard so many suggestions like taping his butt closed to see if the worms stick! and going in his pants at nite for a flashlight!! i know these are bizzare, but i think he has them... he grinds his teeth all the time

  • i read this in a baby mag. once you put tape on there butt and at night you check (baby sleeping) and if a worm cam out its head would be stuck to the tape.. this sounds funny but it is not a joke I read it is parenting like 4 years ago.

  • What does grinding your teeth have to do with having worms?

  • umm. they would be seen in his bowels... check them. I don't think tape is safe, or a good idea. : /

  • Go to your doctor. Lots of people grind their teeth...nothing to do with worms....lol.

  • It depends on what type of worms, if we are talking about pinworms them when your baby poops check the diaper you would see them in the poop. but i wouldnt put tape to a babies butt that just seems mean. also the worms come out at night to find light so the flash light thing works also. but i dont know how grinding teeth has anything to to with worms.

  • if you let your baby play in a sandbox at a park they could get it(alot of kids get it if they bite there nails), or if your baby is around an animal or person who has worms (if they share a bed, they can go to person to person)
