What age to eat hard boiled eggs?

For Easter I plan on decorating eggs and eating them the next morning. Will my 7 month old be able to participate, or do I need to find something else for her?

  • You can mash up the yolk and feed it to your 7 month old. 7 months is too young for egg whites... common allergen.

  • I didn't start eggs until after 9 months... probably closer to a year, and it was the whole egg.

  • Yeah, the recommendation for the whole egg is 12 months... I think we started the whole egg around 10 months because we didn't have any allergies in our family history... but the yolk is safe at 6 months on.
