How can a make can green beans taste like fresh green ?

I know I heard of a way to do this but I don't remember where I heard it from. Anyone ?

  • We always use a little bit of bacon grease and cook them for a good long time. That usually works.

  • I saw this question posted earlier. I didn't think there would be an actual solution. I'm not a canned veggie fan, they are always too soft and mushy. If I can't do fresh, I do frozen.
