potty training

ok my daughter is 15 months and i would like to start introducing her to potty training. any tips? and am i starting too early?

  • There is no early time to start potty training... Just get her a simple but comfortable potty, the ones that signg and stuff like that tend to scare them. Take her to the bathroom with you and have her sit on the potty and imitate what you are doing... she will learn that way...

  • I agree with the above, but definitely no pressure for awhile. The experts say they only become capable of bladder control around 18 months. We bought our daughter a potty around the age your daughter is and she peed on it the very first time she sat there, but didn't care much about it for awhile. Used it as a chair, etc. We trained her at 19 months using the 3-day method, which I recommend. Take a look at the Potty Training Moms group on CM. Lots of info on this method. She was trained in a little over a week, and now at 22 months she's still doing fantastic.
