Help me make a grocery list...

I know I need to go shopping for the week tomorrow, but I have no motivation to think about what we're going to eat.

Any meal ideas?

What are the "staples" on your list?

  • I always write down my meals and then write down each ingredient that I have to buy for that meal.
    For example:
Tacos..shells, meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, taco seasoning.
Hamburgers...meat, ketchup, mustard, buns(maybe some fries).
Spaghetti...meat, sauce, noodles, bread ,butter, garlic. Get the idea?
I do the same for breakfast and lunch.
Examples: cereal, milk, juice, eggs, pancakes, syrup, etc.
Lunch: bread, mayo, ham, turkey, chips, peanut butter, jelly, etc

    Hope this helps.

  • I don't know if you like spicy food, but I made some Southwestern Chicken last week and we all loved it.
    You need 4 chicken breasts
    2 cans of rotel
    1 package of taco seasoning

    1 package of spanish rice
    1 can of refried beans
    soft taco shells
    sour cream

Place chicken in crock pot and pour both cans of rotel over top. Then sprinkle the whole packet of taco seasoning over it, and stir a bit. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. You can either eat the chicken separate with rice and beans on the side, or we shred it up and put in taco shells with rice, beans and sour cream. Sooo yummy.

  • i know i really should make a list but whenever i do i end up ignoring it once i get to the store and see the sales- so i pretty much go by the rule of thumb- buy only whats on sale unless its an emergency item (like milk eggs juice bread so on and so forth) and then everything else is sale items like if the salmon isnt on sale then its a no go lol but lucky for me this week it was! yummmy!!!
