  • When my boys became potty trained, after one week of staying dry the whole week, they got to go pick out a toy and the store. It can be a match box car. Doesn't have to be expensive.

For the daily dryness, I would make a BIG deal about it. Call dad at work and tell him... call grandmas.... have him tell them on the phone. Talk about how awesome it is that he's not wearing diapers anymore. Then tell him that after one week, you'll take him out to pick something out.

  • We gave stickers, too.

One sticker for being dry and peeing in the potty.
Two stickers for being dry and clean, peeing and pooping in the potty (or just pooping).

We put a piece of paper on the fridge and he put his stickers on his paper where everyone could see them.

That's it. He's been trained for a couple of months now. Every so often he does ask for his sticker still...but he's pretty much past stickers now.

  • Tell the child you are so proud of them. Do a high Five!
