How can i put ice on my 23 mo old daughter's bumps and bruises?!?!

My daughter turns 2 on the 27th. She is starting to climb on everything, and becoming even more mischievious. Well, as i was loading the dishwasher... i heard her scream. i run into her room, and she has a big, raised scratch on her cheek. Well she will not let me put ice on it, or anything. So i need to advice. She is starting to have tantrums, so she kicks and screams when i try to put ice on her cheek. UGH!! please help ladies!

  • Yea Ive seen those too the "boo boo buddies" that are like a soft stuffed animal that has an ice pack in it that you freeze and stick inside the buddie, they're so cute!

  • Try putting some spoons in the freezer and use those on dd. That's what we have to do, dd is 15 months and won't let us use ice, either.

  • We have an ice pack... one side is kindof velvet-y, the other side is flexible plastic. There's some kind of goo in it. My DD doesn't like using ice in a ziplock bag, but she loves this ice pack. Considering we use it daily, it was well worth the $$. lol. Other than that, maybe try using a cold wet wash cloth with maybe one small piece of ice in it.
