I've been studying on and off for about 11 years now and over the past month or two I've been studying a great deal more and I think I'm ready to do a dedication ritual (one before committing to a certain length of study, like 6 months or a year and a day). I was just wondering what your opinions are of when a good time would be to do this. I want to do it soon, and I know that spring is considered a good time (new beginnings and such). I would have done it for Ostara, but I didn't realize it was Ostara until a couple of days later :( so I'm doing it now (or soon). What do you think? Suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated! Also any links to something like rituals, writing your own, etc. (or book suggestions) would be great! Blessed be!
On a new or full moon. I did mine on a whime, if you will. I found something online that fit okay, altered some of the words and wrote a little of my own. ... As for books to read. Many will say Scott Cuningham but if you've been going at this for a while i'm sure you're used to that name. Buckland is good. i like McCoy. I'm very eclectic though and adapt almost everything i read to fit mystyle. ...as far as sites go ...here's a few links
