Someone had asked about authentic African foods. Right after this, our local paper ran an article about Marcus Samulsson, co-owner of Aquavit in New York. He was born in Ethiopia and realized that there were no cookbooks in America that represented Africa. So, he wrote his own!
The Soul of a New Cuisine - A Discovery of the Foods and Flavor of Africa.
This was released in 2006 and was named the best internaional cookbook by the James Beard Foundation in 2007.
