What is the cough medicine (ingredient) that kids were taking to get a high??

  • DMX..or dextromathoraphan. The way they choose to take this is by ingesting multiple Coricidin HBP cold tablets. It produces a drunk, and high feeling simotaneously.

  • Dextromathoraphan is not a name brand. It is the ingredient. Many, many cough syrups contain it.

  • What ever it is, I think it's legally supposed to be behind the pharmacy counter. I think it's a Federal law - ask the pharmacist, he/she would know better - just call your local pharmacy.
