  • all newborns do is sleep, eat, and poop. They don't become very active until about 2 or 3 months. So don't worry, as long as you are keeping her belly full and her booty changed, then you are doing a great job!!

  • Enjoy the sleep time, she will be more active in a few weeks. lol

Just slow down and trust your mommy instincts. They get you through a lot of tough times. :) If you are that worried about it, then you will do just fine!

  • just pray your baby doesn't get colic..

  • She's doing her job... enjoy the rest time, rest yourself. Enjoy feeding her. Stare into her sleepy eyes when she's awake... she'll be dominating your every spare moment soon enough. Just don't get the idea to tell a friend you think you have an "easy baby" -- the minute you say it, it will cease to be true! lol If she's still all peace and quiet after about 3 weeks, likely she won't be colicky... then you'll just move on to the millions of other challenges. Don't overthink it. Just love her.

  • This is another great reason breastfeeding is best. In the beginning they are all just sleeping and eating machines, by breastfeeding you are spending their awake hours literally attached, holding and caring for baby.  No need to feel like you are not doing enough because, by breastfeeding, you are baby's lifeblood, not only are you nourishing but you are spending countless hours holding, loving and bonding with baby.  There is a reason why baby can only see from breast to face, no need to feel like you should be doing more!  Congrats on the new one!

  • anon at 8:35 who said anything about breastfeeding?

  • I assumed that someone who asks what more she can do for baby would definitely be breastfeeding. If not then perhaps that is the answer to the question. Breastfeed and you will feel fulfilled in the amount of time and the activities that one does with baby this early on.
