Does anybody know....

Does anybody know where to find the total amount of job losses from 2000-2008 (during Pres Bush's term) vs. the first three months of 2009 (Obama's term)?

  • Here you go.

    http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet?data_tool=latest_numbers&series_id=LNS14000000

This link takes you to the Department of Labor's stats, all the way back to 1999.

  • Well, it doesn't really work that way, its a snow ball effect. Bush started it and Obama is trying to stop it. So, really, the recent losses are still Bush's fault.

  • People just dont get it IT SNOWBALLED from Clinton too. It can take YEARS for certain things to have an effect.

Clintion was the one who wanted banks to lend money money money, b/c it made the markets huge, now they fell.

no one remembers that far back.

  • It won't matter because Obama inherited all the bad news remember? He's not accountable for anything and his braidead followers have faith in him that he will save us all.
I'll not even bother to look it up, because I am old enough and wise enough to know these recessions occur and correct themselves leaving the strong to survive and allowing space for new business to surface. Bush will be blamed for everything, Obama will never take responsibility and his supporters will encourage that behavior until.................

  • Unemployment records can not be a 100% accurate. They just had an article here that said John Doe nows he is unemployed, his family knows it his last employer knows it but unemployment dept no longer counts him because he has exhausted all his benefits.

    There are several other factors.

True. Usually the actual unemployment number is higher than what the department of labor reports...but there's no way to track it.
