  • I gave my dd prunes and apple carrot juice all gerber and it worked. If you're giving rice or oatmeal stop right away . They don't need it anyway

  • peaches and sweet potatoes. You can also get glycerin suppositories, they're not that expensive. But you don't want to use those very often.

  • My 7 month old gets constipated a lot. His doctor told me give 1-2 teaspoons of Karo syrup a day in his bottles(not all at the same time) it always works, usually with in a couple hours

  • Define the constipation? Is she struggling? Or just not pooping. If struggling, back away from the solids and get her on a more liquid diet (the liquid should come first).

If simply not pooping for long periods and then passing normal poops (not pellets)...that's not constipation. **smile**

  • apple sauce (not the juice tho) can sometimes back them up, cut out the BRAT foods (bananas, rice, apples, toast) pears and pear juice are good as are, peaches, peas, apricots, plums, prunes. you can also massage her tummy in clockwise circles, give her a warm bath, bicycle legs, that's what we do at least, ds has constipation problems too.
