If I dont sleep...does the baby not sleep?

I have been staying up wayyyyyyy to long these days, and not getting enough sleep (maybe 5 hrs a day)...Will my baby girl still be able to sleep if I'm not? I am extremely scared/excited/nervous...I am being induced this wednesday...so what do u ladies think?? I dont want to deprive my 1st born!!

  • her sleep schedule and your sleep schedule are TOTALLY OFF. shes sleeping while youre awake and while youre sleeping she could be awake. I remember my son would be very much awake and active around 3 am, when I was sleeping he was kicking.

  • The PP is right. Your sleep schedules are completely different. However, you're going to be more tired when she's born if you're not taking the time to rest right now.

    Are you staying up late/getting up early on purpose? Or are you just have difficult sleeping?

  • She will still be sleeping, but if you are stressed/anxious she is feeling that. May I ask why you are being induced? How far along are you?
