What age do babies "generally" crawl?

I put "generally" in quotes because I know every baby is different. My lo is 6 moths, should she start scooting soon? She'll scoot arounda bit on her back, but not her tummy.

  • Every child is different. My daughter started scooting around 5 1/2 months, and crawled at 6 months.

  • My first daughter didn't start crawling until she was 7 months old and my second daughter started at 5 months.

  • My first started army crawling (belly on ground) right before turning 7 months, and crawled on all fours at 8. My second daughter is 7 months now and just can't figure out how to move forward yet.
