how do I keep it from getting worse can't swallow

  • Try some Chloroseptic....you could also gurgle with salt water. Hope you are feeling better soon!

  • I gargle with mouthwash when I have a sore throat.

  • I swear by a cup of tea with a teaspoon of honey and a 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon!  In between teas, eat a few Halls Plus (medicated centers), and/or Halls Fruit Breezers (no mentholyptus) to help soothe your throat.


    If the soreness persists for more than 3 days--and is not followed by a cold or the flu--then I would make an appointment with your doctor to see if it is strep on mono!
