has your child...

gone through a licking phase?

XD HAHA! My daughter has.. she is 10 months right now. i think she's slowly fading out of it though.
She would lick whatever random thing & i hate it! but it's also kinda funny.

she'll lick cabinet knobs.. walls, shoes, doors... one time i caught her licking the floor & i yelled "NO!" rushed over and quickly picked her up. when i'm wiping her face she sticks her tongue out and i end up wiping her tongue as well.

i think it's hilarious.. but at the same time.. i know i shouldn't let her lick certain things (i.e. shoes).

what i love most, is if i ask her to give mommy a kiss. she'll raise her arms up, pull my head towards her...

and lick the side of my face. HAHAHA! i'll tell her "Ew! Not like that, but close enough i suppose..."

  • It's just a phase she's going through. I have to ask though , do you have a cat or dog in the house that she sees licking things? She may be imitating the family pet. Cute about the kisses though.
