What to do with a stopped up infant?

My month old is sooo stopped up. We have been suctioning out his nose every two hours or so and doing saline drops. Is there anything else we can do?

  • A warm mist humidifier, Little Noses Nasal decongestant drops, if you have a swing with a five point harness let him sleep in it. And tons of fluids, use a dropper to help if he is having trouble sucking if need be. Vicks on the chest, and if coughing put it on the feet, I don't know why but it seems to help reduce coughing. That is what I do, my duagther gets bad ear infections if I don't reduce the drainage.

  • You mean stuffed up like his nose is plugged? Let him sleep sitting up, it helps him breath, and make sure your doing the saline drops right, it should work. If not take him to the doctor.

  • running a humidifier also helps break up the mucous.
