When will babies start to burp themselves?

  • My son started at about 5 months I think. You'll know when it happens; all I had to do when my son was able to burp himself was sit him up and out it came. So when that starts happening, you don't have to burp them any more.

  • I think my son could do it MOSTLY by himself by 8 months.

  • My daughter started around 4 months. I still burp her occasionally, but usually they come out all on their own . . LOUD AND CLEAR!!!
