Fiat Belgian workers seize managers-sources

Fiat (FIA.MI) employees in Brussels are holding managers hostage, according to a source at the Italian car maker, in the latest demonstration of worker anger in Europe at the prospect of job losses.

  • The economy is despret and plans to buy people time of there values and responsibilities should be demanded by the goverment .More resources should be out there Its a tough time .And people get desprete its sad to the point that peopple can take things to provide for thier families.I hope these actions britten some ideas to evoid .Such actions to be even considered

  • I think it should start happening. Maybe if it did, someone would actually listen, or care about what's going on. I, for one, am sick and tired of hearing people talk of having their jobs ripped out from under them because of stupid decisions made by those that hold high power, ceo, the gov't and the president.... all included. Their selfish decisions are ruining a lot of families, and these families have EVERY right to be angry and retaliate.

    Yes, but they usually work as individuals or pairs. When you see a group of people take bosses hostage, then you're seeing mob mentality where normally sane people are acting crazy, not just your usual nut job.

  • Union workers are holding companies hostage already. Reason cars are so expensive. It is already happening on our soil. We only buy from Toyota since they are non union and make a better product than our lazy union workers at GM, Ford and Crysler.

  • People don't have to work for these companies. I am sure there are workers who would gladly take their jobs. I hope all the workers in Germany have fun in jail they are all criminals now.
