Just took an ovulation test.....

i took my first ovulation test today. 11 days past the first day of my last period. It had two lines...i know the instructions said to take the test between 10 am and 12 pm. its 350pm. does that mean that i am going to ovulate within 28-48 hours?

  • Only if the test line was DARKER than the control line. There will always be two lines, as there is always LH (lutenizing hormone) in your body, but it surges right before ovulation, and that's what these tests are for. The line gets darker as your levels rise. So, once the test line is darker than the control line, you will ovulate within the next 24-36 hours. And time of day isn't really important, as long as you aren't using first morning urine. It's too concentrated and can give you a false positive. Hope this helps!

  • The times are just a suggestion. If the lines show what the instructions say is a + for ov, then yes.
