lifting after vaginal birth

I was just wondering how much you can lift after two weeks. Is it ok to lift my baby and his car seat? I'm still feeling sore (down there) but ready to get moving again.

  • You can lift the weight of your baby and maybe a little more as little as possible for the first six weeks. Any more before that can cause bleeding...(more than you already have) So just be careful and listen to your body..

  • I didn't have any problems. How could you function without lifting your baby and the car seat?
