What can I do?

April 22nd is my daughter's first birthday. We've just moved to our place; we don't know anyone around here. And our families and friends are not nearby. In need of ideas how to go about this.

  • Can you go back to where you are from for the weekend? Otherwise at one, I am sure she would love a day in the park with you. If its too cold look into the local Chuck Cheese, Jungle, or Super Franks. Finally check out and join a local mom's group in order to meet people for both of you.

  • If it is just a celebration with you and your hubby, no worries. The first birthday party is more for the parents than the baby...she won't know the difference. So no worries on seeming like a bad mom.

Is there any chance of going "home" for the weekend and celebrating with family?

  • Chuck e cheese, may be your best place, you can bring your own cake, and it will be so many other kids there for her to see.Take lots of pictures for her to see later in life.
