For Catholics practicing a day of fast and abstinence

Of course pregnant women, and the sick are not supposed to fast. What about breast feeding mothers?

  • I think it also depends on how old your baby is. Last year I did not fast because my baby was three months old an nursing all the time. This year we are still nursing but he is old enough that he isn't getting most of his nutrients from breast milk.
    This year I am fasting.
