What to do for boys at a princess party?

We are having a princess dress up party for DD's 3rd birthday but there will be 3-4 boys attending the party. For the girls we all have little tiaras and wands and a trunk full of dress up clothes, but I don't want the boys to feel left out. Any suggestions?

  • Give them swords and little medieval accessories to be dressed up as princes and knights!

  • they would love platic swords but not sure you want them sword fighting. Eye patches and pirat stuff is cute.

  • EVERY princess needs a PRINCE, or a Knight in Shining Armor. You can cover some cardboard with Alum Foil or spray paint silver/gold, and make some paper tube swords. Or get them some silly hat's and they can be Court Jesters! Have pin the legs on a Kiss the Frog game, and a scavenger hunt for Jewels & Gold Coins .
    Good luck!

  • Yepp I agree with everyone. Have the dress up as knights in shining armor or as Prince Charming. You can have them make armor out of cardboard and let them color it themselves or you can cover it with aluminum foil ahead of time if you want. Plastic swords would be fun or you can make some out of foam which might be less dangerous and less expensive. You can give them plastic flowers to give the princesses.

  • Swords, bows, arrows and crowns. At this age I would go for foam ones. You can find them at Michael's. Or if you want to make them, has great inexpensive ideas. They have an entire section on Princesses and medieval themes. If you are handing out goodies bags put in a dragon figure also available at Michael's or anywhere that sells Megablocks.

  • My daughter had a Tinker Bell Party and there were two boys invited. I made them goody bags with match box cars instead of rings and bracelets.

  • Yep - Knights in shining armor. Give them cardboard shields and swords. Cape optional.

  • Knights and Kings, Dragon Slayers, Wizards Think of all the fantasy and fairy tale things you have ever read or watched. All those have male characters too!
