Boxed Brownie Mix...what to do...

I have a box of brownie mix. I was going to make brownies with my son but I don't have the oil that it is calling for and I don't have our car today to go and get some. Any suggestions on what I can use instead of the oil, if there is anything that I can use instead? Or am I just SOL?

  • Hmmm, all good ideas. Thanks!! Although I don't have prunes and I don't think I would use that anyway.

Hmmm, applesauce or butter...I think I'll go with the butter.

  • Melted butter! You need to melt it first.
