The going rate for the tooth fairy?

A friend and I were talking about this today. I remember giving my kid $20 for the first tooth lost and the very next day another one came out, I only paid $10 for that one! How much does the toothfairy pay at your house?

I still have every tooth lost :)

  • 25 cents! Apparently you have a better tooth fairy at your house!

  • I remember I used to get a quarter. LOL. But I'll probably keep it at about 10 to 15 when my daughter gets to that point.

  • $1 per tooth...doesn't matter which one. With 3 kids losing teeth at the same time there is no way we could afford more. Last summer, between the 3 of them, they lost like 6 or 7 teeth in just over a week. I was scrambling to find enough quarters for everyone.

  • I don't teach my children that the tooth fairy even exists, they put their tooth under their pillow and Mom and Dad put money under it....with that said, we give $5 for the first one, $1 for all the others, except we just gave one of my children $10 for the one the dentist had to pull because he was so brave and did awesome at the dentist office.
