  • Children have more taste buds than adults, and they are WAY more sensitive. So some of the tastes we tolerate they can't.

  • My kids aren't picky. We always offered them lots of different foods when they were young. Now I put dinner on the table and they eat what is there or go until breakfast. No fights, ever.

  • The only Picky kids are the ones who's parents let them be ! If they are hungry they will eat what you give them

  • Because we allow them to be. We cater to their every like and dislike. Theres a difference between really not liking something and just THINKING that you dont like it. As long as my kids try everything I put in front of them, then I am fine with them saying that they don't care for it. My kids like peas, broccoli, sushi, carrots, cucumbers, steak, just about anything, but they don't like spaghetti or pizza all that much....imagine that.

  • My kids are not picky compared to most kids we know. My boys spent their first few years in Guam and Spain so they were raised eating what we ate. No kids meals! They eat any kind of chicken, steak, they will eat most vegetables, even some "strange" thinks like calamari, octopus, filipino foods, thai food, etc. They would rather have "real" food than hotdogs any day. My daughter is 4 and she is by far the pickiest because she's been raised in America where every restaurant has a kids menu that consists of burgers, chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and hotdogs. Maybe its our nation as a whole. In Spain, they didn't cater to children. Children are welcome in most any restaurant there, but they eat what the adults eat...meats, fish, vegetables, fresh breads. Maybe that's why America's kids are more obese...

  • They are picky b/c we let them!
My kid is the worst and my g-ma tells me that if I quit cooking him a separate meal, and stop buying all those snacks that he would eat b/c he would be hungry. It's true. You never heard of this problem untill this decade.

  • My kids are not picky. If they don't like what I fix--tough-- they eat it any way. Moms ALLOW that stuff to happen, set down your rules and don't allow your kids to be picky.

  • Kids who are allowed to be picky stay picky.
