  • More like it's normal for a baby. "Sleeps like a baby" is the biggest myth on the planet. They will sleep longer stretches when they are developmentally ready.

And by the time they are, you will be inured to broken sleep. Welcome to the US Mom Corps, tougher than that other USMC. Our motto: We don't need no stinkin' sleep! **grin**

More seriously...teeth are a common culprit. Especially if she's been on the same formula all along. Solids can also cause waking.

In about another month you can start looking at "The No Cry Sleep Solution" by Elizabeth Pantley. Most docs say to not even think about any "sleep training" method before the six month mark.

  • Does she wake up and start crying or just wakes up and makes noises. We dont pick or 6 week up until she cries at night. She may lay there and make noises for 20 mins but about 50% of the time she will soothe herself back to sleep. The other 50% of the time, she will start crying.
