What would you pay for a good babysitter?

I live in Ash Flat Arkansas and I am wanting to start babysitting. I was wondering if 75 a week for monday - friday is too much? I have done this before but not had too much luck because I babysat for friends. I am going to try to get my license later this summer, so that will help, but how about now?

  • It depends on the age of the child. Infant to 2 years is $120 a week. 2-4 years is around $100 a week where I live. I never paid less then $100 a week when my son was little.

  • For a rural area, $75 is about average, if you get your liscense and are on the state register, you can change $10 to $15 more

  • I would say that is a fair price. Just be aware that there are laws in most places about how many kids you can watch in your home if you are not licensed, and some places have a limit on the number of hours you can watch someone else's kid in your home per week too. But I would say $75 is a good price.
