• Yeah, Anon is right. 10% of 2000 is 200, so 20% would be 400. 2000-400=1600

• if the sale is 1600 dont you add 20% to the 1600 to get the price before sale lol

• It is 2000. You aren't finding 20% of 1600. You are finding what 1600 is 80% of.
80%(x)=1600
0.8X=1600
X= 1600/.8
X=2000.

• I had to help my husband through his college algebra and stuff too. He was never very good in math in high school, then it was 8 years before he enrolled in college, so he had forgotten everything he did know in high school.
