My 2 yr old is having trouble pooping, any suggestions?

She's been crying for about 2 hrs saying eww and owie..I've tried a few things from rubbing her belly, I gave her a warm bath and she was able to pass 3 pepples, the size of a small grape...she's still in alot of pain and discomfort and I'm really not sure what else I can do to help her, she will not eat the prunes or drink the prune juice

  • sounds like she's constipated. Try a child laxative. my sister uses the drink warm water approach. this usually helps with tummy aches but her daughter usually has to poop soon after.

  • The suppositories are safe, I had to use them on my premie twins. They had an awful time with constipation. I believe they make ones for children

  • NOTHING works for my son but mineral oil. They have tasteless, colorless, odorless mineral oil. One teaspoon, and he WILL poop! Plus, he doesnt give me any trouble about it.
