  • when i worked i would pay $4 an hour or $25 whichever was the least amount. however she used to work at the same place as me before she opened her daycare, and her SO was military like my DH so was pretty understanding when it came to costs. the only stipulations she had were parents provide diapers and if the child is on a special diet (allergies or whatever) parents had to provide that as well

  • $7/hour if they are sleeping and $10/hour if awake total not per child.

  • We pay $10 per hour. We don't go out much, lol. But we both find it odd that a lot of people pay so little to someone for doing such an important job. So we pay well, and it pays off. We can usually find a babysitter, even last minute. I've heard that our babysitters will cancel on others because they can make over twice as much babysitting for us.

  • my daughter charges people $4.00 an hour per child. She brings coloring books, kid cd's and they dance, they color, she helps them school work and reads with them.

  • Well I don't use anyone but family so nothing, but when I babysat like 6 years ago or more, I chared like $40 for the night. Starting around like 5 and the parents coming home at like midnight. I had 2 boys I watched...and the parents always sprung for pizza. I only babysat for one family and knew them well.

  • $3/hour per child. She's 15 years old and watches them so I can run errands that I normally cannot do with the younger ones around. Or if I want to go work out without taking them because it's naptime for my youngest. I usually will give her $20 for 2 hours though. She usually makes $60-100 a week from me.

  • Liv's preschool teacher has babysat her twice at our home (her only babysitter). We buy dinner and pay her $10/hr for our one child.
