What to do about green boogies?

My 9 month old dd has green mucus boogies. she sneezed and a whole bunch came out. She doesnt have a fever and isnt cranky out of the usual. she had a runny nose yesterday but besides the sneeze she really doesnt. Is it normal? should I inform her doctor? what should I do?

  • Green is generally indicative of infection. I would would get her seen just to rule out a sinus infection.

  • Yeah. Sinus Infection. She will need antibiotics and decongestant.

  • is a sinus infection contagious? I think I have one too because I am all stuffy and she got that way the same time I did

  • Its probably a little cold! I would still get her seen and they may want to put her on an antibiotic. Salene nose drops works really well to help break up the congestion!! A cool-mist humidifier at night helps too ecpecially if she starts to get a little cough!
