What are the most important things your doc should have told you or done by 20 wks pregnant?

  • An ultrasound is routinely done around 20 weeks, as well as the triple screen, or sometimes called the AFP screen, if you are over the age of 30 or are at risk for downs syndrome or anything like that, not all Dr's do that though in a healthy pregancy. You should have had the initial blood work done around your first apt, and maybe a pap. And should have talked to you about weight gain, eating healthy, what is important excersize and so on. But alot of Dr's will wait untill you ask about alot of stuff. If you arent happy with your it is never to late to change Dr's, or be a bit more involved in your care and ask more questions at a visit. GL
