breastfeeding question...

ok i went and got a pump and some bottles today. i also picked up a pack of bra liners. and i have two questions, one does a pacifier affect breastfeeding, and if so which one is the best brand to go with to prevent it as much as possible? and the bra liners (i'm calling them boobie pads :) ), how often do you have to change them? i got a pack of 60 disposables, but don't know if i should have gotten the ones you can wash, but if i get the ones i can wash how many do i need, since i definately am not doing 2 pairs and having to wash one while i'm wearing the other and switch it out every few hours if that is the case. thanks ladies!

  • no pacifiers don't affect BF and change the pads as much as needed I always waited til they got really soaked which didn't take long.

  • Pacifiers are actually great for babies that breast feed. Nursing is more than just eating to a baby, it is also a comfort thing, soooo the pacifier can comfort the baby when all they want is to suck. I used the washable ones, you change them out just like you would a pad, whenever they are wet and become uncomfortable to you.
