formula

My dd is 9 mos and eats solids 2-3 times a day but sometimes she will refuse the food and just drink a bubba is that okay? is formula still enough for her?

  • yes, but she does need to start on some foods. try tons of diff things to see what she'll like. maybe have her point out things that you set in front of her to try

  • yes! breastmilk/formula is all babies need before age 1! solids are really just for practice and are empty calories! dont worry if she is refusing solids. just keep offering them to her during a meal and if she shows no interest and is done, then she's done! then try again at her next meal! my son went through this. especially once he reached a major milestone like standing up and then walking, he prefered to do that then sit still and eat!

  • Solids are NOT empty calories...they actually fill in for nutritional requirements that a baby needs once they turn 6 months old. I'm not sure where that whole "solids are not needed before age one) bs came from...mostly every pediatrician will tell you it's bs too!
