  • A good friend of mine did. I also got pregnant while nursing, although my daughter was 11 months old.

  • Yes our friends wife did. Her kids are 11 months apart. Breastfeeding isn't always a good form of birth control as its not a guarantee.

  • It can happen...but remember that your hormones are still raging after having a baby and if you test it's likely you'll still have a positive. I tested at 8 weeks PP and it came back positive. I was never pregnant either.

  • My exboyfriend was an irish twin-- he and his older sis were only 10.5 months apart, so his mom get pregnant 1.5 months after giving birth. She said it was pretty tough physically, and they got a lot of teasing about it (all good natured), too. So yeah, it can happen.

  • I didn't but I could have... I got my period after 6 weeks while exclusively breastfeeding. I conceived (planned) at 7 months post-partum.

  • EXCLUSIVE breastfeeding in the first 6 months before you get your period significantly reduces your chances of pregnancy. But it's still possible and going outside of any of those rules increases your chances.

  • breastfeeding is NOT birth control. It helps, but is less effective than the pill. As soon as you stop bleeding post partum, you can get pregnant.
