Why is my 4month old sleeping so much?

She slept for 10 hours last night, got up and had a bottle and went back to sleep for 3 hours. We played for about an hour, ate again, and now she is back to sleep. Is this normal? I recently got her a jumper and we are practicing rolling over and sitting up. Am I wearing her out?

  • She is growing and she needs her sleep. She is doing more and becoming active so she is tired. She could also be having a growth spurt or possibly starting to teeth as well.

  • She's growing! Enjoy it while it lasts because once they're two those sleeping days are over! Enjoy the peace and quiet! lol

  • yep, they sleep more when they are growing. Normal. If it goes for more than 2 days, call your Dr.

  • Might be going through a growth spurt. Sometimes they sleep more then.
