Do you want advise?

Every day I see posts with moms asking for advise. I am the only one that goes nuts when they see this?

adviSe is a verb, as in: Can you please advise on what to do?
adviCe is a noun, as in: I need advice.

I know spell check is no help on this one. Am I correct on the spelling or am I crazy?

  • I gotta tell ya this one irks me too. I don't say anything directly to those who have typed it, but I cringe a little when I see it. I also hate this one: "Why can a man do stuff that a women can't?"

    Women = plural
    woman = singular

    I feel like this one is pretty obvious but I see it ALL THE TIME!

    I don't say anything when I see it because I don't want to make anyone feel bad, but it makes me crazy!

  • Nah your not crazy, but I look past it because I do it all the time. I type so fast that I don't realize when I make a mistake,,,,and usually if I am not sure about the spelling, I really don't care, I just do my best and move on.
    So no, everyone's different, my pet peeves are different from everyone else. To each his own!

  • You are not crazy. That is correct. I wouldn't worry too much about what hush says since she obviously doesn't know that she should have said "you're" crazy. Unless you do own a crazy?

  • Spelling errors drive me nuts in general. If I see a post where it's obvious the person doesn't know how to spell or has bad grammer, I skip it.
