Is it ok when a baby who does not sleep much aal of the sudden sleeps alot?

My baby would sleep 6 hrs in total during the day and maybe 5hrs in total at night. Now, 7-9hrs in the day and 9hrs in total at night.

  • May be going through a growth spurt. Is he eating alot more too? Or he may be getting sick, or it could be nothing. Babies are amazing little creatures and keep you on your toes. Nothing to worry abou tthough.

  • for a baby under 6 months sleep hours should be about 16 total hours when they start to transition to toddlerhood 12-15 tota 12 being a minimum amountl

  • My guess is it's a growth spurt. Or maybe your baby is setting a new schedule :) Either way sleeping babies are happy babies

  • sounds great! could be a growth spurt, or if exposed to a lot of stimulation, according to the baby (sorry you didnt mention if a boy or girl...), LO might just be really exhausted! my son is almost a year. he's in bed between 8-9pm, sleeps great till between 730-8am, and takes usually two, 2-3 hour naps during the day.

  • SOUNDS LIKE HE/SHE IS SICK ,OR GOING THROW A GROWTH SPURT USUALLY THEY START SLEEPING LESS THE OLDER THEY GET , YET AGAIN SHE MIGHT BE WEARING HERSELF OUT MORE!
