What do i do about breastfeeding when i'm going to a function and will be drinking plenty of alcohol?

  • Ugh I hate people who think you need to end your life because you're breastfeeding!
    All you need to do is feed her before you consume any, and then have some pumped for when you ARE drinking, and after while it's still in your system. They say to wait about 2 hours per drink.
    My home visitor nurse reccomended pumping and dumping too.

  • Pump a lot before hand and give that to your baby. Give your body time for the alcohol to leave it before breastfeeding again.

  • Pump and only have a couple drinks. Unless you have a babysitter for the next day, you shouldnt be "drinking plenty of alcohol" anyway. it will only get you drunk and give you a hang over. You need to be 100% to take care of your child properly.
