  • Take one gallon of white vinegar and one lemon. Cut the lemon into wedges and stuff the wedges into the gallon of white vinegar. Leave sit in a dark, cool space for about a month. When the month is up, get an empty spray bottle and mix 50/50 of water & the lemon vinegar and use wherever in your home. The lemon gives the white vinegar a nice scent and an extra antibacterial kick. Be careful with fabrics, though, b/c lemon juice can bleach things out.

Non-abrasive Cleaner: Mix baking soda with water to form a paste and use for cleaning most hard surfaces like countertops, porcelain, tile, etc. If stained heavily, leave the baking soda paste set for about 20 minutes and then scrub clean. A cup of baking soda added to the laundry water & left to soak for an hour, then wash as usual, will remove most odors and brightens clothes.
