  • Well my baby isn't ready to be babysat yet unfortunately but we still have a date night every weekend. When she's ready we already have the sitters lined up, lol. Its just so important to get that quality, responsibility free time together.

  • We try for every two weeks. Sometimes it's a little longer, and sometimes we luck out and go once a week. Depends on what we have going, bills, and kids.

  • A day night? What is this that you speak of?

Never because we do not have anyone to watch the little ones. I think that it is really healthy for a relationship, some romance and one on one time in which you can really remember why you fell in love in the first place.

  • My dh deploys a lot, but we do this whenever we can. When our kids were little, we would still do this a lot, only what we would do instead is feed them dinner / get them ready for bed and put them to bed a little early, and then we would have a romantic dinner for 2, or a picnic on the living room floor, or we would rent a movie and eat popcorn together or play cards or challenge each other to a video game, or whatever.

When he comes home from deployment, we always try to go away just the 2 of us for 1 or 2 nights, leaving the kids with family or friends, within the first couple of weeks home.

You don't have to go out or spend a lot of money to have a date. Now our kids are teens, and when he's home, we still do those things (lol, only now, it's ok guys, we're having a date night, you can go read or hang out in your rooms, lights out in 30 minutes or in an hour, or whatever). We also go out to the movies, dinner, etc.
