  • Yes!!!! You must ovulate to have an egg drop. An egg must drop to be fertilized. An egg must be fertilized to become pregnant.

  • Well yes and no. The sperm can live for several days inside the woman so if you have sex 3-4 days before ovulation you can still get pregnant. There must be an egg there though.

  • Yes, at or right before (up to 5 days before) ovulation is the only time you can get pregnant.

  • actually the average sperm cells can only live inside the uterus/fallopian tubes for about 2 days or less. The five day window is the egg release time frame. the egg has to be in a particular spot in the fallopian tube for the sperm to fertilize it and for the egg to move into the uterus and implant itself into the lining of the uterus. So yes you really have to be ovulating for you to get pregnant. It is really only about a 2-3 day opportunity to conceive.
