My doctor told me that the baby dropped and i was 1cm dialated..is that bad

  • Sounds normal to me. I was dilated for over a month with all of mine.

  • No, it's not bad. Your body is getting ready for labor, but you could still go past your due date. I would not worry too much.

  • no you can be 1 cm for weeeks.
    i have been for a month now.
    the bay dropping means nothing too .. it could still be weeks before labor

  • no that sounds pretty normal your baby is just getting into position and your cervix is getting ready. hold on tight you are heading for labor in the next few days/weeks. good luck

  • I dropped at 34 weeks every time. I had all of them around 38 and 39 weeks. I think you are getting stir crazy by the looks of your posted questions! It'll be here before you know it! Relax Hunny! It'll make you crazy I know!

  • these are the kinds of questions u should ask ur doctor when they tell u this stuff. it is ok to dilate a little bit before labor. some women walk around 3 cm dilated for a month, its no big deal. unless u r a 4 but in that case ur dr would probably admit u. and as for the baby droppiing, that just means s/he dropped lower in the uterus in preparation for birth. u will feel more pelvic pressure becase the baby is pushing down on ur cervix but its nothing at all to worry about

  • Everyone is on point. You can walk around dilated for weeks if not month. I have been 3 cm since week 33 and now I am 40.
