I am almost 14 weeks pregnant, i think my 2 yr old has chicken pox.. i have had them 2 times already.. but can this still hurt the baby

  • I'm pretty sure you are fine since you have already had them, I think it is only a problem when the pregnant mom does not already have the antibodies to them. One quick call to the Dr. will confirm for you that it is okay :-)

  • You need to call your doctor. The Herpes virus (which Chickenpox is a simplex of) can be harmful during pregnancy. Even if you've had it twice before, if this is a strain you haven't gained an immunity to, you could become infected.

  • You should call your doctor and make sure. My mom got the chicken pox, (I gave them to her, oops) when she was 9 months pregnant with my brother.

  • I know that when a baby is one or so they get the chicken pox vaccine and my dd cant have it because it is a live vaccine and I am pregnant. I would talk to your doctor for more info
