Does anyone know where I can get a list of government grants?

I would like to start my own business. I have heard that there is grant money available for women to do so. Does anyone know how I go about finding info on this or applying. I have found websites that you have to pay shipping and handling for a cd to get the info but I really do not want to give them my credit card number. They all sound kind of shady. A few of them I googled and people have said that they are scams. I would think that there would be someway to get this information. Thanks.

  • I was told by a goverment person that any website that ends in .gov its legit.. There is a website called grants.gov you might be able to find something on there that can help. I wish you luck in your search because it is not an easy task.
