Can you take the oath of enlistment for the army before you get your ged?

My husband signed up for the army and has to take the oath of enlistment before i deliver our son. Well my husband paid for a diploma/ged online from Belford highschool and they said it would work for the army well after doing some research we dont think its gunna work, and my husband cant take his GED test in our town until the 3rd thursday in may. So we will be pushing it to get that test back and him up to st.louis to meps before the baby is born. HELP SOMEONE.

  • Why are they saying that GED won't work? I think there is a waiver he can sign for that. I would call MEPS and ask them. Or he should call his recruiter(try this first to ask about the waiver).
