what would you charge/do you pay for one-on-one in-home daycare?

i am HOPEFULLY going to be watching a 6 month old in his home M-F 8 - 6. any idea of what i should charge? i will have my 8 month old with me, and i live on the gulf coast of mississippi (for some demographics...)

  • when my daughter was 2 (ya charge more when they are a little younger since they tend to need more attention) i paid $375 a month... $400 a month for that schedule would be fair in my region.

  • Its in their home so you shouldnt charge alot i would say $100 week at least for starters nothing lower than that .See in their home they are able to view you with a camera thats why and thats safe totally for it .

  • I paid my friend $5 an hour, plus she had her kid w/her and I provided all food etc... she came to my home. She averaged over $200+ a week.

  • $150-$200 per week is a good price for a child under 2 . I've worked both in home childcare & a center before. It can get exhausting when you have your own little ones there too but it's nice to be able to stay at home. Good luck!!!
